Reported Blackberry 9000 Specs
April 13, 2008
After carrying a Blackberry for a better portion of my corporate career, and I definitely, at one time, was a true "crackberry" addict. I absolutely couldn't have lived without that thing! Now that I work from home, I no longer need one, and I actually sold mine on ebay a few months back. There are more and more blackberry addicts spawning, and the introduction of the new Blackberry 9000 will surely spawn an entire new race of Blackberry fanatics.
Digging around on the 'net, I came across the specs of this new powerhouse of a Blackberry. I thought it would be nice to share them with you, because if you landed here on this article from the search engines, then rest assured you've found what you're looking for:
- 624MHz processor, 480×320 screen, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G, etc.
- The web browser flies. “Loads web pages in 3-4 seconds.”
- The BlackBerry 9000 in its current state runs OS 4.5
- Early launch date was slated for a consumer AT&T launch on June 18th.
- The battery lasts around 4 hours with straight phone calling. With Wi-Fi on, I only got a little less than two hours browsing the web,” and all testers are reporting huge battery issues which could be why we’re all hearing it is delayed.
- We’re not sure of the next part, but he said that the device either has 256MB of internal memory or 128MB.
